About Me

Mama, LaLa and MiMiI am LaLa and Mimi’s mom. I live in Los Angeles, where I raised my two daughters, LaLa, the oldest and Mimi, the youngest. These are not the names their father and I gave them, but the nicknames they gave themselves. I was, of course, MaMa. (There is a third, “almost sister”, who is called “TaTa”.)

If I could have anything I wanted, it would be to not have a reason to write this blog. I want my daughter to be alive. But, as most people in my generation have by this time heard: “You can’t always get what you want.”

Like me, many of the people reading this blog want something they know they’ll never get. By writing about my personal experience and sharing some of the resources that helped me, I hope those who come here get a little bit of what they need.

I’m sorry for the path you have to follow. I too, walk this path. Somedays I fall off the path and other day even though I don’t like the path I manage to walk it.

    Be kind to yourself.

Thank you so much Lydia. I am grateful we have made contact, despite the circumstances.
